Take a walk down memory lane - Nik-L-Nips Wax Bottles!

Let’s take a walk down memory lane. Remember, Nik-L-Nips Wax Bottles? I do!

wax bottles

These candies are the very definition of nostalgic candy.

These wax bottles are called Nik-L-Nips. The Nik-L-Nips name comes from the original cost of a "nickel" (5¢) and the method of opening it, by biting "nip" the top off. The Tootsie Roll company created these so long ago, we don't remember a date - but they've been around forever. Nik-L-Nips are small wax bottles with flavored syrup inside. There’s no incorrect way to eat them, but the most fun way is to bite off the “cap,” slurp up the syrup, and then pop the whole thing in your mouth like bubblegum.

“Bite ‘Em, Drink ‘Em, Chew ‘Em”. For nearly a century, fruit-flavored, liquid-filled Nik-L-Nip Mini Drinks have been a party and holiday favorite. They include five fruity flavors: Chillin' Cherry, O-So Orange, Hello Lemon, Blazin' Blue Raspberry, and Groovin' Green. Nik-L-Nips are still as popular as they were way back when.

What was your favorite color? I can tell you - being the candy lady - that the blue and red disappear first in the candy store. We are very often left with orange, green and yellow.

Sold separately or in the multipack - these will take you right back to childhood. Who else but kids like chewable wax? And sugar liquid to drink?

I highly suggest you try one. It is not quite what you remember! Mostly, the experience is mostly a good teeth cleaning... as you chew the wax and then spit that out when you get tired - and you will get tired!
